C6 Chair

Every day we observe forms in both the natural and built environments that we occupy. However, there are forms that exist which the eye cannot see. These invisible forms, so to speak, are particularly prevalent in the realm of chemistry. A molecule typically displays a three-dimensional configuration. The C6 Chair was inspired by the conformation of the cyclohexane molecule (C6H12) in its most stable form.

Double Slit Rubber Dam Clamp

Bilateral slits were incorporated into the bow of the rubber dam clamp to accommodate the function of floss tying during rubber dam placement. This slight design modification allows one to securely tie the pieces of floss bilaterally on the bow of the clamp instead of through the holes in the central wing as traditionally done. Therefore, the clinician will be able to remove potential obstructions that may arise from the position of the floss during restorative or endodontic procedures, while still allowing a stable clamp position to be maintained.

Porcelain Fused to Metal with Diamond - Crown Prosthesis

The PFMD crown concept implemented diamond as a potential restorative material in fixed prosthodontics for aesthetic purposes. Diamond was applied to mesial and distal cusp ridges on the labial aspect of a maxillary canine crown. However, both cusp ridges on the lingual aspect were preserved as pure porcelain to avoid an elevated risk of attrition due to forces from lateral and protrusive mandibular movements.
